The WWE Thumb-Disputed Championship is a short-form, leaderboard-based texting series running throughout August and September. The premise is simple but chaotic: WWE superstars are given exactly 60 seconds to type an unreasonably long text message. We then tally their words-per-minute (WPM) and place them on a live leaderboard to see who has the fastest thumbs in the business.
The competition features a lineup of massive WWE talent, including Alexa Bliss, Johnny Gargano, Kiana James, Kit Wilson, Penta, and Michin (Mia Yim). Turns out the wrestlers are just as competitive with their thumbs as they are in the ring. Well, except for the eternally depressed Gargano, who sighs and planks his way through the competition for a total score of…one.
But it’s not just for the athletes. Fans can join the action and test their own thumb speeds against the Superstars via a custom landing page at thumbdisputed.com.
